Crafted by head distiller Adam Hannett, this decadent bottling is truly unforgettable. With a phenol level of 40 parts per million (PPM) and an alcohol strength of 54.3% ALC./VOL, this heavily peated Islay single malt scotch whisky is a testament to quality.
Distilled from 100% Scottish mainland barley, it matures in 74% refill sherry casks and 26% refill French oak wine casks, resulting in an elegant and well-rounded taste profile.
Notes of dried fruit, figs, sweet sultanas, and raisinsgreet the nose, followed by soft smoke and mellow oak. The palate offers a gentle and beautifully balanced experience, with sweet and fruity flavors complemented by warm toasted spices, citrus, toffee, and honey. The finish is characterized by wood spices, smoked leather, and a subtle nutty salinity, with soft peat smoke lingering.
